Yolanda Poplawska is a former graphic designer with an artistic foundation in visual arts.

Her hardcover edition of A Halifax ABC was shortlisted for the 2006 Lillian Shepherd Memorial Award for Excellence in Illustration. Yolanda lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
