The colours opposite to one another are \u003cstrong\u003ecomplementary colours\u003c\/strong\u003e in which forms the widest possible contrast.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSteps to introduce colour: \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf we now \u003cstrong\u003emix the primary with the secondary colours\u003c\/strong\u003e, we arrive at an extension of the colour circle. For example, we can mix red and violet to make red-violet, or yellow and orange to make yellow-orange.
