Can I use the Ergo Baby Carrier with my newborn?

An optional infant insert is available to compliment your Ergo Baby Carrier. With the infant insert, the Ergo Baby Carrier truly becomes the only carrier you need from birth to toddlerhood! The infant insert is a specially shaped, padded cushion that is added to the carrier when worn in the front-carrying position, allowing the baby to be carried in a protected environment close to the caregiver's chest - and baby is in a perfect position for breastfeeding. The baby's position in the infant insert allows both legs remain together at one side while his or her head leans to the opposite side. Baby's bottom remains centered in the carrier. Insert can be taken out with baby and used as a padded cushion. Recommended use from newborn to 4 - 5 months depending on the growth of baby. Made of 100% cotton batting inside and 100% cotton poplin fabric, machine wash and dry on gentle cycles.
